Due to inclement weather, this session will be postponed from January 2026 to April 24-26, 2026! Long Pose Life Drawing Session with Peter Leeds April 24-26, 2026 Friday, April 24 5:30-8:30PM Saturday, April 25 10AM – 4PM (w/ 30-minute lunch break) Sunday, April 26 10AM – 4PM (w/ 30-minute lunch break) Class Fee: $200.00 – Registration Required Click Here to Register! Join us for an uninstructed long-pose life drawing session—perfect for intermediate to advanced artists and students (18+) looking to practice and hone their skills. This figure drawing session features a live nude model. One model + one pose for the entire session for about 15 hours, with breaks (of course). This session will begin with a quick warm-up and then focus on one pose for the entirety of the three sessions with both model breaks and 30-minute lunch breaks (bring your own lunch). Our model will require at least a five-minute rest period every 20 minutes, though if the pose chosen is quite relaxed, the model may choose to keep their position for longer. With the longer pose, you can have the luxury of taking your time with measuring and proportions. Time to think and plan your drawing… and use your better-quality papers if we’ve been saving them! Longer poses allow for focused, complete, or experimental study. This uninstructed long pose emphasizes composition, narrative, accuracy, style exploration, and creative approaches. If you’ve spent a bit of time at our monthly Drink and Draw life drawing sessions and/or with life-drawing in shorter 5-, 10-, and 20-minute poses, it might be time to move on to the longer poses. This is where all your practice pays off, as you’ve now become familiar with the human figure and how it’s put together. Please bring your own supplies and your favorite easel (if you have one). We will have limited drawing supplies and easels available. If you would like to work in a different medium, clay, paints, etc. or have any questions regarding drawing materials, contact Peter by email at pete@peterleedsart.com.
