Jam out with fellow writers in community before Open Mic! Join poet and writer James K. Zimmerman for a pre-Open Mic poetry workshop to loosen your creative process, free your assumptions, and expand your perspectives as you write. This workshop is for anyone who is curious to play with creativity in a supportive environment. All levels welcome, from beginners to seasoned writers. Bring a poem to work on, a journal/notebook, and your favorite writing utensil. Free and open to all 16+. We hope to see you there! Registration encouraged. Walk-ins Welcome. Performing at Open Mic on April 17? We’re doing it a little different this month. Performer sign-up occurs between 7-7:30PM. Performers will submit their name “into the hat” and we’ll draw 13 names right before 7:30PM. Each performer will have up to 5 minutes each on the mic. James K.
