Overview of The Moth StorySLAM The Moth StorySLAMs are held in various cities around the world and are open to anyone who wishes to share a five-minute story on the night’s theme. Participants put their names in a hat, and a selection is made to determine who will take the stage. Each storyteller has five minutes to captivate the audience with their tale, which is judged by audience members based on criteria such as adherence to the theme, storytelling quality management. How It Works Participation: Anyone can sign up to tell a story. When the doors open, hopeful storytellers submit their names for a chance to be selected to perform Themes: Each StorySLAM has a specific theme that participants must adhere to. Themes can vary widely, encouraging diverse storytelling Judging: After all stories are told, audience members score the performances, and a winner is declared.
