BIG ARTS, formally known as the Barrier Island Group for the Arts, was created by and for the community more than four decades ago. Its founding principle remains to this day: to experience and celebrate the artist in all of us and to remind us of our shared humanity. Each year we offer a vibrant cultural palette of performing and fine arts, films, workshops, classes and community events that enrich our lives. Come experience the power of the arts and the joy of coming together at BIG ARTS. Discover something truly special at the BIG ARTS Gift Shop, where local creativity comes to life. Wander through our curated collection of one-of-a-kind pieces, featuring everything from stunning pottery and home accents to handcrafted jewelry and fine art. With new arrivals from local artists added regularly, every visit offers a new discovery! Greats communities create great organizations; and our donors and volunteers are the heart of BIG ARTS. We have become an inspirational gathering place where artistic and educational excellence is available to all because of your support. With your help, we can continue to carry our vision forward by offering captivating programs that will enrich our community for generations to come. You don’t have to wait until Giving Tuesday to make a difference! Every dollar raised through midnight on December 2 will be matched up to $5,000!
