About this event

Presented in partnership with the Sanibel Historical Museum & Village Award-winning filmmaker Ken Sneeden returns with the second installment in his film series about how hurricanes have shaped the history of the islands. This time, the documentary focuses on the destruction that followed Hurricane Ian, which hit Florida in September of 2022. Through personal stories and community footage, Storm Stories from Sanibel captures the devastation—and the remarkable resilience and community healing that followed the storm. Stay for a Q&A with Sneeden after the film. Cash bar available. – ABOUT KEN SNEEDEN: Following his career as a TV anchor and producer, Ken established his expertise in visual storytelling and, since 2016, has worked with the Captiva Island Historical Society to produce seven full-length documentaries and other videos related to the history of the islands.
