Writing and Art Workshop

LINK to Mindful Making with Marco Palli In this four-week workshop, open to all, we will explore the connection between art and writing, using examples from painting and photography to inspire us. Ten-minute free-writing prompts will guide us as we fill our notebooks with new writing that can become poems, stories, or personal essays. In one session, we will visit the BIG ARTS galleries and discover original art to inspire our personal stories and memories. In the final session, there will be time to reflect, share, and transform our writing into a simple visual piece that combines our words with color, collage, and design of our own choosing. This culminating project, which may be a keepsake or gift, offers a creative way to give our writing form and shape. The focus throughout is on exploration and discovery rather than technique or critique. All levels welcome.
