Drawing and Painting Birds with Chris Selin

Are you captivated by the forms and movements of birds? Tap into your creative side as you explore the world of flight and color. Join artist Chris Selin as we explore the world of birds at the Birds of Vermont Museum in Huntington, Vermont. You will study the museum’s skeleton and feather collections, Bob Spear’s dioramas, and also follow the movements of birds as you visit bird feeders. This workshop will touch briefly on anatomy before exploring various art materials, types of birds, and their movements. The cost of the workshop includes admission to the Bird of Vermont Museum for the entire day! Davis Studio will supply sketch and watercolor paper, graphite pencils, watercolor pencils, watercolors, palettes, and brushes. Students can bring their own sketchbooks and any other art materials they wish to use. Optional/Recommended : phone with camera or camera and water bottle, lunch, and snacks.
