Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with an epic trivia night on Friday, October 23, 6-8 p.m. at the LUMAC Rooftop Bar at The Bristol Hotel! Hosted by the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, this evening explores the bold voices and diverse faces that have shaped Virginia and the nation. Get ready for a high-energy competition that covers everything from revolutionary history to modern pop culture. Whether you are a scholar of the 1700s or a master of today’s viral trends, come put your knowledge to the test. Grab a drink, bring your friends, and compete for a chance to win exciting prizes while enjoying the best views in town! Many of our questions are pulled directly from our newest special exhibit: Give Me Liberty: Virginia & The Forging of a Nation. We highly recommend visiting the museum to explore these exhibits before the event to get the “inside scoop” on the people, immigrants, and icons who defined the American story. It might just be the edge your team needs to take home the prize! House Rules No Cheating: Do not throw away your honor by cheating at a trivia night. Team Size: No more than eight people per team. One point will be deducted for each additional person. No Cell Phones: No calls, texting, doomscrolling, or ordering Doordash. Definitely no Google! Keep phones in your pockets/purses during play; you can check your messages in between rounds! No Shouting Answers: Please do not yell out answers. Especially in the music round—do not sing the chorus after the music cuts! Ties: In the event of a tie, leading teams will compete in a special tie-breaker question.
