He has sung with The Coasters, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group behind “Yakety Yak” and “Charlie Brown,” and he travels the world fronting big bands on swinging jazz standards. Onstage he plays with a showman’s timing (he has shared stages with comics Robin Harris and LaWanda Page) and an old school blues player’s feel, and his album The Blues Chose Me says it plainly.
