Guitarist and singer A.W. Cardinal, raised in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, and Jasmine Colette, who sings and plays upright bass and drums, write their own swing blues steeped in old jump and gutbucket records. The Blues Foundation nominated them for Emerging Artist at the Blues Music Awards. Tonight they play Union Square as a trio, with Peter Cormier on keys.
