Born in Monkton, Maryland in 1958 and raised on his parents' B.B. King and Bobby Bland records, he was handed a guitar at thirteen and never looked back. He cut his teeth in Zac Harmon's band, the crew that took first place at the 2004 International Blues Challenge, then built a catalog of eight albums on his own Blue Rock Records from Falling Up to About Time.
