Participants read excerpts from The Year of Knitting and Puzzles and reflect on issues like self-confidence, identify, safety, and socialization. Cynthia worked in the field of early childhood education for 30 years, and invites participants to share their own experiences, as parents and grandparents, based on the readings. The second half of the workshop is devoted to creating artwork or written work, which exemplifies the qualities we wish to promote in our children and grandchildren and the environment we need to create to make this happen.
