About this event
One of 21 upcoming events at Blue Shield of California Theater, and 849 across San Francisco.
Fri September 4th Open 10 AM–5 PM Create art inspired by programs at YBCA in this series of drop-in art workshops for participants of all ages. Each workshop will explore different practices and art-making methods. Materials will be provided, and participants will be able to take their artwork home as a souvenir. Draw from imagination to compose a surreal portrait collage. Incorporate a dream-like background, learn about shadows, midtones, and highlights, and explore different colors of collage paper. This workshop is inspired by GaHee Park’s solo exhibition, Behind the Curtain, presented by YBCA. YBCA programs are made possible in part by Bloomberg Philanthropies, Blue Shield Of California, Bob A. Ross Foundation, City and County of San Francisco, Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), Malia Simonds, Mayor Daniel Lurie, National Endowment for the Arts, Pisces Foundation, The Ron Conway Family, Salesforce, San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, The Svane Family Foundation, The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Yerba Buena Gardens Conservancy, Yerba Buena Partnership, and the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Board of Directors and Members.
