3-Day Still-Life Workshop with Artist Nikki Davidson/ “Painting Reflective Surfaces” Friday, October 16 – Sunday, October 18, 2026 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM This oil painting workshop will focus on the still life with special attention paid to various reflective surfaces (“Oh, those shiny things!”). As always, there will be a discussion and demo by the instructor exploring the basics of composition, value structure, color and brush work. The student can bring their own photo references or use those provided by the instructor. The first day will be dedicated to the underpainting process and a paint along with the instructor exploring how to create various reflective surfaces such as glass, copper, brass and silver. On day 2 and 3 the student will work on their own compositions with lots of personal one-on-one time with the instructor.
