Auditions for An Allagash Haunting Bring a Legendary Maine Story to Life Boreal Theater is proud to present An Allagash Haunting, a community theater production based on the beloved children’s book by Tim Caverly and adapted for the stage by Barbara Howe Hogan and Tim Caverly. Since its stage premiere, the play has been performed by youth theaters and community groups across Maine, captivating audiences with a story inspired by one of the state’s most famous mysteries. Now, more than fifteen years later, An Allagash Haunting is coming home to Millinocket—the hometown of author Tim Caverly. This special production celebrates the people, legends, and spirit of Maine’s North Woods while giving local youth the opportunity to tell a story that began right here.
