Join us Sunday, June 14, from 3:00–5:00 PM as legendary Maine blues guitarist Mark “Guitar” Miller returns to the Boreal Theater — kicking off a summer series with performances planned for the second Sunday of every month! Mark “Guitar” Miller is considered by many to be one of the finest blues musicians in the country, and so are the talented friends he regularly brings on stage. We’re honored to welcome him back to the Boreal Theater Music Café for an afternoon of incredible live music. Adding to an already remarkable career, Mark has recently been nominated for induction into the Maine Blues Hall of Fame, with more details to be announced this September. Born in Houlton and raised in East Millinocket, Maine, Mark has played guitar since he was six years old. For more than 45 years, he has made his living as a guitarist. In the early days, he played music with his brothers on the porch. In high school, he performed with a Top 40 band before going on to work with several prominent acts as a “hired gun,” contribute studio work to numerous recordings, and eventually return home to Maine, where he has remained a staple of the music scene ever since.
