Talks & Lectures

Join us for the “First Friday” of the month. Historic Beverly’s monthly program series exploring local history through engaging talks and presentations. This month, discover the long and fascinating history of the Rev. John Hale House and Farm. Built c. 1694, the house remained in the hands of Hale’s descendants, though not always bearing the Hale name, until the late 1930’s. Following its purchase in 1937, the property opened to the public later that same year, beginning its life as a historic site. Today, Historic Beverly has worked to restore the surrounding landscape to reflect what Hale descendants would have known in the nineteenth century. This program explores both the history of the house and the ongoing preservation efforts shaping its future. Registration is mandatory, admission is free, donation appreciated. Join us for this monthly tradition of learning and discovery.
