In this five‑day workshop, photographer Jari Poulin invites participants into the expansive world of instant film. Through structured assignments and demonstrations, you will: Experiment with Still Life, Portrait, Landscape, Multiple Exposure, and ICM techniques Learn the creative features of the Polaroid NOW+ and Polaroid i2 cameras Use the Polaroid app for remote shooting, long exposures, and enhanced control Practice emulsion lifts, hand‑coloring, and other analog interventions Explore writing prompts and creativity exercises to spark new ideas Develop a personal project and consider exhibition formats such as grids, diptychs, triptychs, text‑based work, and 3D installations Along the way, you’ll gain historical context for Polaroid’s evolution, see inspiring examples from contemporary instant‑film artists, and learn how to translate your experiments into cohesive, expressive bodies of work.
