Diana Markosian, The Cut Out, Father Series, 2014-2024 Private preview for members: 6:00 pm: Doors Open 6:30 – 7:30 pm: Conversation with Artist Diana Markosian & Curator Anahit Gasparyan 7:30 - 8:30 pm: Light reception Father traces the artist’s attempt to rediscover and rebuild a lost bond with her father through photographs, archival material, video, and writing, reflecting on loss, identity, and belonging. The project makes its U.S. debut at the Armenian Museum of America. Diana Markosian (b. 1989, Moscow) is an American artist of Armenian descent working across photography, film, and installation. Her book Father (Aperture) accompanied the project and was recognized with the Madame Figaro Prize at the Rencontres d’Arles in 2025. Markosian’s work has been exhibited at leading international institutions and is held in prominent public and private collections. She is widely recognized for advancing a nuanced dialogue between documentary practice and staged narrative within contemporary art.
