Woodturning Workshops Presented by the Brewster Historical Society Each session will include 4 weekly workshops (limit 6 people) Workshops are held on Thursdays @ 4 pm  $100 per session members/ $125 non-members   Woodturning Workshop session 1 Non-member $125.00 USD Member $100.00 USD Workshop #1. May 21 Workshop #2. May 28 Workshop #3. June 4 Workshop #4. June 18 No class June 11 Discover the timeless art of woodturning with hands-on workshops hosted by the Brewster Historical Society. Whether you’re a curious beginner, young, old, male, female or a seasoned hobbyist, these workshops offer a unique opportunity to learn traditional and contemporary lathe techniques in a welcoming, community-centered environment. Under the guidance of experienced craftspeople, participants will explore the fundamentals of shaping wood on a lathe — from selecting the right materials to mastering cuts, finishes, and forms. Included will be bowl turning, spindle turning and tool sharpening instructions. Each session brings together a love of craftsmanship and local history, reflecting the Brewster Historical Society’s commitment to preserving and celebrating the skills and traditions of our community. What to Expect: Participants will gain hands-on experience with lathe equipment, learn safe and proper tool handling and sharpening techniques for tools. Sessions are suitable for all skill levels, and all materials and tools are provided.
