Several hundred species of mushrooms grow in the Northwoods, and many can be found beginning in late summer. Join Cable Natural History Museum Naturalist Mollie Kreb-Mertig for a guided walk to explore nature with a focus on local fungi. This is a great option for families who have no experience with fungi, beginner foragers, or visitors looking to familiarize themselves with common mushrooms found in our area. Meet at 10 a.m. and finish by noon at the Jackson Burke House, located roughly a 15-minute-drive east of the Museum. Dress for the outdoors and uneven terrain–walking distance will be minimal. Space is limited. Register by: August 12 Cost: $15 member/$25 non-member
