About this event

Outdoors

We love watching and listening to the loons on our lakes, but what do their behavior and vocalizations mean, and how do scientists decode them? Find out from Jay Mager, a biologist, professor, and ornithologist known for his decades-long research on the behavioral ecology of this iconic Northwoods bird, while touring on a pontoon boat. Cost: $54 member/$64 non-member Federal law requires children under the age of 13 to wear a USCG-approved life jacket while underway in an open vessel on federally controlled waters. If you are registering a child under the age of 13, please call the Museum to make sure that a suitable life jacket will be available.
