(Master Naturalist Advanced Training) This scenic beach, just across the Michigan border, has the greatest diversity of colorful rocks and gemstones anywhere within Lake Superior. The ravines behind the beach shelter deep, old-growth hemlock forest with orchids and other Pacific Northwest plant species. We will be beachcombing and finding beautiful and interesting stones ranging from agates and jasper to fossils. Meet at the Museum and carpool to the field site.
