(Master Naturalist Advanced Training) What is a fen? Why is it poor? And which beautiful Beings live there? Join Cable Natural History Museum Naturalist and fen fanatic Emily Stone to explore a magical fen 10 miles east of Cable. You’ll learn about fen formation, plant ecology and identification, and more! Meet at 12:30 p.m. at the Forest Lodge Nature Trail and plan to drive 3 more miles from there. Entry into the fen is across a small moat on a fallen log, with a pole for balance. Physical fitness is required for safety. You don’t have to be a certified Master Naturalist to participate! Any adult learners are welcome.
