The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter invites you to a paint/sculpt-out and art sale at Oxbow Public Market on Saturday, May 16. About Oxbow Public Market Join the California Art Club San Francisco Bay Area Chapter for a CAC exclusive day of painting and an artist friendly pop up sale at Oxbow Public Market, a popular gathering place with high foot traffic from locals and visitors. The market is a 40,000 square foot indoor marketplace with a scenic outdoor deck along the Napa River, and it sits right on the Napa River Trail, with indoor and outdoor options nearby. Artists will find strong subjects within a short walk, including river and trail views, lively street scenes, nearby garden areas and green space, and character rich architecture, including older California houses that are now tasting rooms. The market is also adjacent to Oxbow Preserve and Oxbow Commons, offering easy landscape options close by. A standout nearby is CIA at Copia and its Culinary Garden, a prominent garden featuring seasonal crops, trees and regional plants, great for studies of greens, structure, and spring color. Artists will display work on their easels and handle their own pricing, labeling and payment processing. Agenda 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, paint out 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm, wrap up, staging, set up 4:00 pm – 6:00pm, pop up sale all proceeds go directly to the artists optional to stay past 6pm and continue selling if desired Artists may display work on their easels to keep set up simple.
