Comic Camp

Kindergarten - 6th Grade Explore how images and words interconnect to make a story. We will start out drawing with stick figures and basic shapes and explore thought bubbles, dialogues bubbles and voice over narrative text boxes. Daily exercise will include loosening up our drawing hands with gesture drawing and reading some favorite children’s books. We’ll take a look at some of the classic comics from Calvin and Hobbes to The Far Side. More info and sign up here. Class Requirements If your child receives 1:1 support at school, we ask that they also have a 1:1 aide while attending ONE Arts Studio programs. This helps us make sure your child feels supported, safe, and able to fully enjoy their creative experience. If your child has an IEP or usually works with an aide during the school day, please reach out to us so we can talk through the best way to support them in our programs. Please email [email protected] to set up a meeting. Please provide a snack, lunch and water bottle for your child. Weather depending ensure that your child arrives with appropriate winter and/or rain gear. A spare set of clothes is recommended. Other Things To Know Camp Cancellation Policy In order to recieve an 80% discount you must cancel at least three weeks before the camp start date. 20% of the total price of camp will count towards a nonrefundable fee.
