About this event

This is a training for SVC docents and not a public event. Current and in-training SVC mountain bike docents will gather at Deer Creek Hills’ corral for a review of emergency response procedure, fire response and first aid skills practice. Sac Metro Fire will be joining us at the corral to help review first aid, emergency procedures and evacuation strategies. At 7pm we will be riding out to a location on the trails to practice an emergency response scenario. Bring your bike and be prepared to ride 3-5 miles. Light snacks and water will be provided, bring your preferred supplemental hydration. If you are first aid certified, bring your kits so we can inspect and restock if needed. All active MTB docents must attend the safety training to remain active for the 2026 season. We look forward to seeing you to freshen our skills, connect with other docents and get prepared for hosting another wonderful season of public access at Deer Creek Hills. If you have any questions regarding the docent program, please contact Karly at outreach@sacramentovalleyconservancy.org or 916-612-3719.
