About this event
One of 49 upcoming events at Capitol Center for the Arts.
It’s the very first Hawkfest with 104.9 The Hawk. We’re bringing together FIVE incredible bands featured on Backstage, our local music show, for one unforgettable night of music. Rock out with Andrew North and The Rangers, Stand Up Audio, Super Bug, Faith Ann Band, and Lee & Dr G—all on one stage! It’s a celebration of the local music scene you won’t want to miss. Andrew North & The Rangers Andrew North and the Rangers are a six-piece band from Concord, New Hampshire, brought together by a shared appetite for musical adventure. Led by pianist, singer, and songwriter Andrew North, the group blends the technical edge of classic rock, the improvisational spirit of jazz, the loose fun of the jam scene, and touches of classical composition. Their sound has drawn comparisons to Steely Dan and Frank Zappa, with echoes of Phish's spontaneity and Vulfpeck's playful, genre-bending groove. The band has built a reputation as a mainstay of New Hampshire's jam scene, known for structured songs that leave plenty of room to explore. They also host a monthly open mic at the BNH Stage in Concord, backing up performers of all levels as the house band. The Faith Ann Band Feral tunes served up hot and fresh from The Faith Ann Band! The New Hampshire based indie rock group has been described as ‘Fiona Apple and Alice In Chains got together to start a Days of the New inspired band’. Punky rock, jazzy blues; their music is an expression of the never ending emotions and stories that give life it’s color and feed the lust for life! Stand Up Audio Stand Up Audio started in 2020 in the area around Concord NH and though there have been line-up changes, the members all have a collective dream of writing and performing original rock & roll music. They have combined all their influences into songs that are both new and almost familiar at the same time. One listener said it was “like Classic Rock songs I never knew!” With the driving energy of classic and modern rock, Stand Up Audio is able to deliver their own distinctive compositions that draw in the listener and make them sit up and take notice. Lee & Dr. G Since the fall of 2023, LEE & DR. G have played 150+ shows across New England, building what The Hippo called “psycho-delic” blues rock: Delta-rooted blues pushed somewhere louder, heavier, and less predictable. Long grooves collide with fuzz, tube saturation, and improvisation that refuses to sit still. Paperjam called it “rock-and-roll dynamite.” Live is the point. The band pushes grooves until the whole room gets pulled into them. In 2025, LEE & DR. G self-funded their debut album, Girl For Me, recorded at Rocking Horse Studios. The Hippo praised its “massive sound” and “fearless guitar work.” The album culminated in a release show at BNH Stage and a nomination for “Rising Star – New Hampshire” at the New England Music Awards. They recently released a live EP and developed a live headlining show on the history of the Delta Blues. They are currently playing dates with Emanuel Casablanca, aka the Bad Boy of Blues, opening shows and performing as his band. Super Bug Super Bug’s blend of progressive punk funk is sure to raise the heat level in any venue. They have released two records, including 2026’s “Comfort the Disturbed” that show off their tight playing & clever songwriting. Their live shows unleash a tidal wave of energy that rarely lets up. Recently celebrating five years as a band, they show no signs of slowing down with record number three already in the planning stages for this winter. There is no vaccine that can stop this Bug. Come get infected!
