Join pianist Steve Baddour at Capitol Hill United Methodist Church for an afternoon of music and conversation featuring composers from across the Americas, including the United States, Brazil, Argentina, and Cuba. The program includes works by African American and Indigenous American composers. Steve will perform a varied program while sharing the history, ideas, and interpretive choices behind the pieces, giving listeners a closer look at how music moves from the page to performance. Reception to follow. Family-friendly and open to curious listeners of all ages. Proceeds from the concert support tuition assistance for CHAW music students, helping ensure that no child is ever turned away because of an inability to pay. Suggested donation $25 per person
