All of us at Pope Douglas Solid Waste Management are the people who send your recycling and compost on to its next adventure! Our Material Recovery Facility (MRF) separates out recyclables by material and prepares them to be sent to our end markets, who will then take those materials and turn them into new products. Our compost facility turns your food scraps into a nutrient-rich material that contributes to healthy soil. We also house a Waste-to-Energy facility, where we capture the heat created from burning trash into energy used in our own community.
