Learn to Paint Beautiful Watercolor Flowers with Sarah Crossman Sarah is back after maternity leave! We’re thrilled to welcome her back for an all-new workshop. In this one-day session, we’ll study a floral painting inspired by Redouté, a master of botanical illustration, using one of his works as a reference to paint and learn from. This workshop is perfect for all skill levels—whether you’ve joined Sarah before or are trying watercolor for the first time. Participants will work from a shared reference photo, learning step-by-step how to create a finished painting. Sarah will demonstrate essential watercolor techniques, including washes, wet-on-wet, and dry brush, offering plenty of individual guidance throughout the session. By the end of the class, you’ll leave with a completed painting and a solid foundation to continue your watercolor practice at home. Materials are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own supplies if you prefer. Please bring lunch or snacks—we’ll take a short break to eat and recharge. $75 Members / $90 Non-Members Sarah Crossman is a watercolor artist whose work is deeply inspired by the beauty of nature. Based in Bedford, NY, Sarah draws much of her inspiration from the botanical subjects found in her garden and the local environment. Her paintings capture fleeting moments of everyday beauty, focusing on light, texture, and intricate details with a keen eye for nature’s delicate forms. Sarah is drawn to the watercolor medium for its unique balance of challenge and tranquility. The process of painting with watercolors allows her to explore both precision and spontaneity, creating pieces that resonate with the serene energy of the natural world. A graduate of Skidmore College, Sarah further honed her craft at The New York Botanical Garden. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and galleries throughout the Westchester and Fairfield areas.
