EXHIBIT • Bearing Witness – An Era in Retrospect Opening Reception September 8th, 2026 • 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Free, Registration Required The Italian Cultural Foundation at Casa Belvedere is honored to present Bearing Witness: An Era in Retrospect, our first-ever exhibition, commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11. Through the work of eight participating artists, the exhibition remembers those we lost and reflects on the extraordinary compassion, courage, and resilience of the communities who came together in the aftermath. Featuring the work of Susan Grabel, Diane Matyas, Ann Marie McDonnell, Michael McWeeney, Kristi Pfister, Dr. Marguerite Rivas, and Sarah Yuster, Bearing Witness offers a deeply personal look at an event that forever changed our city, our nation, and our collective memory. The exhibition also includes commentary by Sr. Rose Paccate, FSP, an internationally recognized American art and culture critic and member of the Daughters of St. Paul living in Rome. We are proud to open Casa Belvedere’s exhibition program with a presentation that invites us not only to remember, but to bear witness to the humanity, service, and strength that emerged during one of the most difficult chapters in our history.
