Yes, the CB Creative Art Center, 114 Washington Avenue looks forward to welcoming you on Second Friday, JANUARY 9 from 6 until 9. Enjoy some hot apple cider, refreshments, and as always, wonderful art. Our special featured artist in the Colonial Beach Artists’ Guild Gallery will be Barbara Brennan. Chat with the artist, whose work for this show reflects her strong interest in the history of the nearby rural landscapes and farms of the Northern Neck. Beyond pure documentation of these (often abandoned) properties, the artist is fascinated by changing weather conditions, faded wood, rusting metal, and dramatic cloud formations which she beautifully depicts in oil or in pastel.
