Join a welcoming, non-judgmental space for parents and caregivers raising neurodivergent children diagnosed with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or co-occurring AuDHD. Guided by the Libraries Social Work Intern Luz from Stony Brook University, this group connects families facing similar triumphs and challenges to share lived experiences, exchange practical care strategies, and build a supportive community network. Program Objectives Peer Connection: Reduce caregiver isolation by fostering meaningful relationships with parents who understand the daily realities of neurodivergent parenting. Skill Building: Learn practical techniques for managing emotional dysregulation, sensory processing needs, executive dysfunction, and behavioral challenges. System Navigation: Gain insights on navigating school IEPs/504 plans, local therapy providers, state services, and medical resources. Caregiver Well-being: Develop personalized strategies for stress reduction, emotional burnout prevention, and self-care.
