Dr. Wendy Slatkin, author of Art and Community in California’s Pomona Valley, 1930-1980 will present a slide lecture describing the process by which her book was created. Dr. Slatkin will discuss the criteria used for the selection of artists, the overall rational for the organization of the book and define the main archival sources and bibliographic references on which the book is based . Slatkin will be available for book signing following the presentation. This event is free and open to all may purchase the book at the event, or ahead of time online for shipping or pick up.
