About this event
One of 6 upcoming events at Charleston Parks Conservancy, and 84 across Charleston.
As the sun sets, a whole new world of pollinators comes to life. Join Charleston Parks Conservancy for The Night Shift, a free evening at the Mulberry Food Forest where we’ll explore the fascinating world of nocturnal pollinators and the important role they play in our ecosystems. Learn the difference between diurnal and nocturnal pollinators, discover the plants they rely on, and find out how creatures like bats, moths, and beetles help keep our landscapes thriving long after dark. After the discussion, roll up your sleeves for a hands-on activity! Guests will have the opportunity to decorate their own bat box to take home while also helping decorate bat boxes that will be installed throughout the Food Forest to provide habitat for these incredible nighttime pollinators. Come see the park in a whole new light and celebrate the creatures that work the night shift! This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required and spots are limited. RSVP HERE
