About this event
One of 57 upcoming events at Charleston School of Law, and 399 across Charleston.
Charleston School of Law Pro Bono Orientation is for 1Ls and will cover Charleston Law’s 50-hour pro bono graduation requirement. You can start earning pro bono credit during the spring of your 1L year. You will earn one hour of pro bono credit for the orientation. The program will include administrative details about the pro bono graduation requirement. Hannah Honeycutt, Executive Director of the S.C. Access to Justice Commission, will also speak about South Carolina’s civil justice gap and how pro bono work can help close this gap. During the training, we will show 1Ls how to submit pro bono hours on CORE. Due to the large number of students expected and to save time for the program, lunch will not be served.
