Tours, Lawn Games, & Lemonade at Cheney Homestead Open House

September 6 will be a special day of outdoor games and fun for the whole family. We’ll celebrate the official end of summer by offering an assortment of lawn games for visitors to try out and enjoy when visiting the Homestead Museum and Keeney Schoolhouse for a tour. The games are self-directed and appropriate for all ages. Complimentary lemonade will be available. Questions? Email us a [email protected] of the 1785 house and one-room Keeney schoolhouse, with activities for all — mini-concerts, weaving demonstrations, quilt shows, etc. Come and visit for 10 minutes or two hours. Meet our knowledgeable volunteer guides. Generally open seasonally, the first and third Sundays of the month from noon to 2:00 p.m., plus special events throughout the year.
