St. Michaels Flag Day Celebration Sunday, June 14 | 10am-5pm CBMM is thrilled to join the St. Michaels Flag Day Celebration on Sunday, June 14, by offering our community free campus admission and festive fun for the whole family in partnership with the St. Michaels Parks & Recreation Advisory Board. We’re honoring America’s 250th anniversary with a red, white, and blue celebration highlighted by a boat parade through St. Michaels harbor, beginning at 1pm. Guests are invited to watch the parade from our waterfront free of charge or purchase the opportunity to be a part of the fun aboard cruise boat PATRIOT or one of our floating fleet vessels. Buy your tickets to be a part of the crew aboard 1955 skipjack Rosie Parks or charter a six-passenger cruise board Old Point or Volunteer. All of these cruises are two hours from 12:30-2:30pm. We’re excited to open our campus to familiar faces and new friends for the day. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy live music leading up to the boat parade. The day begins with field day activities on Navy Point with the Perkins Family YMCA. There will also be a War of 1812 living history demonstration from the Chesapeake Independent Blues as well as displays from the Classic Motor Museum, St. Michaels Art League, and St. Michaels Museum. This is a great opportunity to discover all that we have to offer on our 18 acres. Experience our interactive exhibitions, soak in the Miles River views, and connect with the Bay stories shared across campus. However you choose to spend your time, we invite you to relax, explore, and celebrate this special day in historic St. Michaels. You may reserve your free general admission tickets in advance by clicking here or simply show up and join the fun of this Your Museum, Your Community celebration. The St. Michael Flag Day Celebration is hosted by CBMM in partnership with the St. Michaels Parks & Recreation Advisory Board with support from partner organizations across our community. It is part of a series of community celebrations in St. Michaels from May-July in honor of America250. Visit stmichaelsmd.com to learn more.
