Thousands gather in Memorial Park in Stockton, IL, each year to participate in one of the region’s largest and longest-running Independence Day celebrations, over 50 years strong. This all-day event has something for everyone: the famous Lions Club Chicken Dinner, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, a classic car show, a kiddie tractor pull, bounce houses, BINGO, more than 70 vendor booths, and a full schedule of games, contests, and live entertainment. The night ends with a crowd-favorite fireworks show that lights up the sky and the hearts of all who attend.
