Fall 2026 Puppetry Workshop: Puppetry Accelerator (Level 3) At Capacity Puppetty Accelerator (Level 3) with Roberto Rossi Join an online cohort of puppetry artists, and develop your puppet piece with personal guidance from a seasoned professional. This is your opportunity to bring your work in progress and get expert eyes on your dramaturgy, staging, and performance over the course of 5 weeks — plus— the ingredient that breeds sure progress: a deadline. The program culminates in a final workshop session featuring an online showing for a special invited audience. Capacity is capped at 6 participants, so you’ll get plenty of one-on-one attention. Participation by application only. About your leader: Roberto Rossi is co-artistic director of the Brooklyn-based Great Small Works theater company. He has toured with Bread & Puppet Theater and the Boston Puppeteers’ Cooperative, and for many years has led intergenerational arts and performance workshops in schools across New York City with Elders Share the Arts (ESTA), the Waterways Project, and Young Audiences. Pageants and puppet shows he has staged have been presented at venues including Lincoln Center Out of Doors, the Brooklyn Museum, and New Haven’s Festival of Arts and Ideas. Since 2021, Roberto has taught over 25 workshops with the Chicago Puppet Fest, always to great acclaim.
