Evgeny Kissin | Chicago Symphony

Get ready as Evgeny Kissin, one of the world’s most electrifying pianists, returns with a program of seminal works by Beethoven. Kissin is among Symphony Center’s most sought-after recitalists, often leaving audiences clamoring for more. For this appearance, he presents Beethoven’s mighty Diabelli Variations, along with two of the composer’s early sonatas. “Kissin took no prisoners — definitely not Beethoven for the fainthearted, yet performances full of urgent energy and evident joy in the music” (Bachtrack).
