Two Choirs, Two Cultures, One American Story Choral Arts Society of Utah and Salt Lake Chinese Choir Unite for a Concert Celebrating America’s 250-Year Legacy Get your FREE tickets here TAYLORSVILLE, UT — March 27, 2026 — In a powerful celebration of unity, heritage, and harmony, the Choral Arts Society of Utah and the Salt Lake Chinese Choir will join voices for a special spring concert titled “Two Choirs, Two Cultures, One American Story.” The performance will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center in Taylorsville. This collaborative concert honors the diverse people and cultures who have helped shape the American story over the past 250 years. Through music that spans traditions, languages, and generations, the evening highlights the beauty of cultural exchange and the shared values that bind communities together. The concert, conducted by Sterling Poulson and Yu-Feng Huang, features performances by both choirs along with an accomplished ensemble of musicians: Susanna Karrington and Yuhuan Xu, accompanists; I-Shan Lai, erhu; and ZhiYuan Zhang, percussion. “This concert is more than a musical event,” said organizers. “It is a celebration of who we are as a nation—different in background, rich in culture, yet united in purpose and hope.” Admission is free, with tickets available through ArtTix.org. Donations will be gladly accepted at the event to support the ongoing work of both choirs and their mission to bring meaningful, accessible music to the community. The evening is made possible through the generous support of community partners and sponsors, including Taiwan Imports, Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation, Fang Family Foundation, Joseph & Kathleen Sorenson Legacy Foundation, and Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts & Parks (ZAP).
