Get ready to rock around Cornyval! 🎸 The City of Helotes Cornyval Parade is rolling in on Saturday, May 2, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM with this year’s theme: The Fabulous 50s! 🕶️ Think classic cars, retro style, and plenty of rock ’n’ roll spirit as the parade kicks off at Leslie Rd. and cruises its way into Old Town Helotes. Grab a spot along the route and enjoy the fun as we bring a little 1950s flair to Cornyval! 🐩📻🎲 Apply now to participate in the 2026 Cornyval Parade — click here to get started. Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026, or until all spots are filled. Road Closures for Parade – As Deemed Necessary by the City: Old Bandera Road (from Antonio Dr. to Bandera Rd.): Closed from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Bandera Road (S.H. 16) Southbound (Floore Dr. to Leslie Rd.): Closed and rerouted to Northbound lanes (converted to two-way traffic) from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Southbound traffic will be diverted to FM 1560 at Leslie Rd. Leslie Road Westbound (Bandera Rd. to Rainbow Ridge): Closed and rerouted to Eastbound lanes from 5:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m Rainbow Ridge Westbound (Leslie Rd. to Signal Hill): Closed and rerouted to Eastbound lanes from 5:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Signal Hill (entire road): Closed from 5:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. FM 1560 Westbound (near Bandera Rd. and Leslie Rd.): Reduced to one lane from 7:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Traffic traveling northbound on FM1560 will not be able to enter Bandera Road (HWY 16) throughout the duration of this event and until the normal traffic patterns are restored.
