Free Milk Duo

Indie trio Free Milk pours gutterglam alt-pop and moody folk-rock into a chilled martini glass and sips it down with a fresh coat of lipstick. Colorado musicians Dorrie Donovan (bass/guitar), Mikala Thompson (keys/uke), and Alyssa Cordova (drums) marry dreamlike melodies with menacing beats, serving confessional lyrics with just enough bite to leave a mark. Fresh, frothy, and never spoiled, Free Milk sounds like the unruly love child of Lucius, the Cranberries, Florence + the Machine, the Bangles, and PJ Harvey.
