Making Ropes & Fire

Learn how to turn a dried-out stem of dogbane into a strong rope—and how that rope can be used to ignite fire from materials commonly found in local fields and forests. We'll begin by looking at the history of these skills, then make ropes and witness igniting a fire through friction. You'll leave with a rope you made yourself and some unique new skills.
