A Signature Astoria Regatta Event Honoring the Queen and Admiral The Rose Planting Ceremony is a long-standing Astoria Regatta tradition, celebrating community, pageantry, and regional friendship. Held in cooperation with the Royal Rosarians of Portland, the ceremony honors the reigning Regatta Queen and Admiral with the planting of new roses in the historic Flavel House Museum gardens, creating a living legacy that grows year after year.
