Pop Art Party Celebrate creativity as a family at our Pop Art Party! This colorful, high-energy event invites visitors of all ages to explore bold colors, playful designs, and hands-on making inspired by the world of Pop Art. Get your inspiration while exploring Good Business: Andy Warhol’s Screenprints thencreate your own iconic masterpiece! What to Expect🖼️ Hamilton and Rauschenberg Collage Activity✂️ Create a Pop Art-inspired collage using recycled magazines and other images, drawing inspiration from artists Richard Hamilton and Robert Rauschenberg. This hands-on art activity encourages you to experiment with cutting, layering, and combining everyday images into something new.  Claes Oldenburg Clay Activity🏛️ Sculpt playful mini artworks using Model Magic clay inspired by the oversized and imaginative creations of Claes Oldenburg. Explore form, scale, and creativity by transforming everyday objects into fun three-dimensional sculptures. Andy Warhol Scavenger Hunt🔎 Oh no! A wave of imposter portraits has taken over the museum. Can you track down the real Andy Warhol cartoon hidden among the fakes? Spot the true Warhol and head to the Box Office to claim your prize.  Inside Pop Art Film🎨 | 12:00PM & 3:00PM* Dive headfirst into the vibrant world of INSIDE POP ART, where a radiant spectrum of pop art bursts to life in a whirlwind of color and creativity. This immersive, technicolor trip through time will change how you view modern culture as you witness the evolution of pop art, from its surprising origins in the UK to the iconic works of Haring and Lichtenstein. Free with museum admission. *Note: All Caperton Planetarium & Theater show tickets may be purchased as an add-on to museum admission, or as “show only” tickets that do not allow access to the museums.
