Discovering the Renaissance Engraver’s Language of Image Making

Investigate artists’ materials and processes and learn about how the museum preserves artworks for the future. Join paper conservator Moyna Stanton to look closely at Renaissance engravers’ materials, especially their cutting tools and cutting techniques, to better understand how specific marks and visual effects were achieved.
