MIX: Noche de Ritmos

Art, Music, Cocktails: Something Different Every Month Join us for MIX: Noche de Ritmos, an evening of music, dancing, and mingling that celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month. Son Gitano, one of Northeast Ohio’s favorite Latin fusion party bands—complete with percussion, vocalists, and a horn section—performs an irresistible high-energy set. Instructors from Viva Dance Studio teach a salsa dance lesson. DJ LOLO bookends the evening blending Latin house with classic and regional sounds, including salsa, timba, bachata, merengue, cumbia, and reggaeton. Themed food and drink items, including cocktails, beer, and wine, are available to purchase from Bon Appétit. Guests are encouraged to view art on display by Latin and Hispanic artists, including Picasso, Dalí, Miró, Gonzales-Torres, Amaral, and Sánchez, in the museum’s permanent collection galleries. Visitors are also encouraged to visit the newly redesigned ArtLens gallery, where they can interact with Mexican Canadian artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer’s piece Binocular Tension. All outfits are subject to security screening. The Cleveland Museum of Art may refuse entry to any visitor whose attire does not comply with these requirements. Tickets are nonrefundable.
